The idea behind our Nashville food tours

You don't eat your way through Nashville.
You discover it.

Every stop on the tour reveals something new. An unforgettable dish, a chef who knows your name by the end, a hidden room off Broadway, a story you can't Google. By the last bite, you don't just know where to eat in Nashville. You know the city, and you're already planning what to come back for.

There's a Nashville beyond Broadway.
We'll take you there.

The Route

Six stops through downtown Nashville. Zero compromises.

A chicken & avocado sandwich at a James Beard Semi-Finalist bakery. A quarter rack of downtown's most celebrated ribs. Shrimp & grits made from scratch at a Nashville landmark. Live music at a downtown honky tonk. Hand-pulled candy from a century-old family recipe. And your choice of two infused whiskey cocktails at a downtown distillery.

Why every detail is on purpose

I spent years as an engineer before I started A Little Local Flavor. It is the reason nothing on this Nashville food tour is left to chance. Memorable experiences don't happen by accident. They are designed: which locally-owned restaurants earn a place, what you taste and in what order, where you slow down, and how the afternoon ends.

You won't notice the design. You'll just feel like the city was made easy for you.

We've put more than $1.4 million into Nashville's locally-owned restaurants and hosted 23,000 guests. I have celiac disease, which is exactly why every restaurant on the tour prepares specific gluten-free, vegetarian, and allergy-friendly options, by design, not as an afterthought. Come hungry. We have planned the rest.

The City

The Nashville locals keep for themselves.

Eight years. One founder. Every restaurant locally owned, every story first-hand, every guide a Nashville local who knows the chefs by name. This is downtown Nashville beyond the pedal taverns and the chain bars on Broadway.
