KYLE ELLIOTT

Kyle is a Nashville native and a true lover of all things Music City. When not showing you the best places to eat around town, Kyle can most likely be found performing in one of Nashville’s many live music venues as a recording artist or putting in time as a country singer/songwriter. In his rare spare time Kyle finds joy in traveling, hiking throughout Tennessee's state parks, and line dancing at the local honky tonks. Brother, he’s country.

KYLE’S NASHVILLE FAVORITES:

Bar: Old Glory
Outdoor Oasis: Bicentennial Park
Live Music Venue: The Listening Room Cafe or Ascend Amphitheater

KRYSTIN LARSEN

A local swing dance instructor and actress, Krystin Larsen is a lover of the arts who is often found hitting the dance floors of our local Nashville honky tonks. Having lived in Nashville for 23 years, she’s witnessed first-hand the incredible change that has taken place in Music City over the past decade. And while she appreciates the growth of our city, she still holds a special adoration for the older Nashville landmarks that give it such rich history.

KREN TEREN

A New Englander born and bred, Kren moved to Nashville in 1985 for the same reason many people do today: to pursue a career in music — her husband’s, that is. His career in the biz took off, so the two happily made Nashville their home, raising their kids and building a life here. Although Kren is a passionate cook and photographer, her main enthusiasm lies in exploring the outdoors. From trail running at Edwin Warner Park to rowing at Percy Priest Lake, she loves seeking out new activities and new places.

Kren’s Nashville Favorites:

Restaurant: Henrietta Red or The Café at Thistle Farms
Outdoor Oasis: Percy Warner Park + Edwin Warner Park
Local Shop: Bare Bones Butcher
Live Music Venue: The Bluebird Cafe — especially if George Teren is playing! (or anywhere for a songwriters round)

CHRISTINE WHEATLEY

A Michigan woman by birth, Christine grew up in Kalamazoo, but her career in print engineering brought her to Nashville over a decade ago. Fortunately, Music City quickly felt like home, and today she has a deep love for and understanding of the city. In 2017, Christine realized a yearning for a career change and, having always enjoyed tours while traveling, decided to launch the kind of tour she would want to take if she were visiting town: a walking food tour, that shows off our amazing locally owned restaurants. And so, A Little Local Flavor was born! Outside of giving tours and making the ALLF gears turn, Christine loves spending time with her dog Addie, swing dancing, and exploring downtown Nashville.

Christine’s Nashville Favorites:

Restaurant: Etch
Event: Musicians Corner
Publication:
The Nashville Scene
Bar/Venue:
The 5 Spot (especially Motown Monday and $2 Tuesday!)
